If you didn’t know the Met Gala was last night then you missed a lot of heavenly bodies dressed as deities, priests, angels, and even Madonna was there. No not Jesus’ mother the queen of pop.
H&M teamed up with Luka Sabbat for a one of a kind hand-embroidered sequin robe for the $30,000 a head fundraiser that took place in New York at the MET this first Monday in May.
MM: How does your H&M look reflect your personal style?
LS: It reflects my personal style because there’s a lot of black going on. I also always wear long coats. This look makes me look taller.
MM: Describe your experience working on the design process with H&M.
LS: H&M approached me with an idea, and they went and did it, and I added my own touch to it, so I made a barbwire chain, and the Jesus piece, so I’ll wear that instead of a bowtie.
